What types of dresses does Heather alter?
Heather alters bridal and wedding gowns, prom dresses, homecoming dresses, formal and evening dresses, mother-of-the-bride and mother-of-the-groom dresses, and bridesmaid and wedding-party dresses. Other occasion dresses are welcome subject to Heather’s review and availability.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes — fittings are private, one-on-one appointments with Heather. Book online here or call the boutique at (262) 458-9832 during store hours (Monday–Saturday 11:00 AM–4:30 PM).
What should I bring to my fitting?
The dress, the exact shoes (or heel height) you plan to wear, the undergarments or shapewear you intend to use at the event, any accessories that affect fit, inspiration photos or fit concerns, and your event date.
When should I schedule alterations?
As soon as you have the dress and know your event date — earlier is always better. Timing depends on the complexity of the work and Heather’s current capacity, which she confirms at your fitting.
Can Heather guarantee my event deadline?
An appointment reserves time with Heather — it does not automatically guarantee that every requested alteration, deadline or garment can be accepted. Heather confirms the realistic scope and timing after inspecting the actual dress.
Are alterations included with a dress purchase?
No. Alterations are a paid professional service and are not automatically included with the purchase of a dress — at Heather’s Boutique or anywhere else. What you get here is a master seamstress doing the work personally.
How is alteration pricing determined?
Pricing depends on the garment, its construction and the work you request, and is confirmed after Heather inspects the dress in person. There are no instant quotes — an honest price requires seeing the actual garment.
Can I upload photos before my appointment?
Yes — you can add photos of the dress securely during booking or afterwards from your private appointment link. Photos help Heather prepare, but the garment is always inspected in person before work, timing or pricing is confirmed.
What happens if my timeline is urgent?
If your event is inside the standard scheduling window, your booking becomes an Urgent Timeline Review: Heather reviews it personally and we contact you to confirm what is realistically possible. Urgent requests are never automatically accepted — and never automatically declined.
How do I reschedule or cancel?
Every confirmation email includes a private, secure appointment link where you can reschedule, cancel, update details or add photos. You can also call the boutique at (262) 458-9832.
